Perelman Victorious Over Morgan Stanley

This one will get written up everywhere, but Ron Perelman has secured a jury verdict for $604.3 million in compensatory damages against Morgan Stanley. No great shock, I suppose, given that the judge instructed the jurors to assume that Morgan Stanley had helped defraud investors. Now onto the punitive damages phase of the trial, which could bring the tab to $2.5 billion. You have believe this one is going to be appealed.
